Latin music’s biggest stars will be under one roof at the 2013
Billboard Latin Music Awards show, which airs April 25. The night will
be extravagant with glammed-up celebrities walking the red carpet and
top-named artists performing on what promises to be one of the best
nights in Latin music. The following talent will be performing at this
year’s awards ceremony in Miami, Fla:
Who’s performing at the Billboard Latin Music Awards
Lucero: Singer and actress Lucero
is known as “Mexico’s Sweetheart.” Her career has been alive for more
than 30 years and has sold 27 million albums worldwide.
Don Omar: The Puerto Rican is known as the “King of Reggaeton.”
He is up for 18 awards this year making him the Latin Music Awards top
finalist. Since his social media launched in 2010, he has been ranked on
Billboard’s Social 50 chart.
La Arrolladora Banda el Limon de Rene Camacho: This successful banda group
is led by clarinetist Rene Camacho. The band is originally from
Sinaloa, Mexico and has been around since 1997. Since rising quickly to
fame they have been the top when it comes to Mexican regional music. In
their career, they have had 30 records and close to 350 songs.
Gerardo Ortiz: Gerardo Ortiz, another big contender
with six awards this year, is known as the “King of Corridos.” Also
popular in Regional Mexican music, he has been known for his talented
and unique musical arrangements.
Michel Telo: Brazilian singer Michel Telo is fairly new to the music scene with his international hit, “Ai Se Eu Te Pego“,
topping the charts. He came into the music scene just last year and
with his hit made it to the number one spot in not only Latin American
countries but in Europe as well. He is nominated for seven awards.
Carlos Vives: Colombian legend Carlos Vives is no
stranger to the Billboard Latin Music Awards show stage, but with an
absence of four years, he is back! He is stepping back into the musical
world with a new album, “Corazon Profundo“, and the first hit, “Volvi A Nacer“, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Latin Airplay chart.
